Dashboard Filtering

Filtering is composed of the following components:

  • “Global Filters” and “Page Filters”

Global Filtering

Global filtering is applied across the entire application, and contains filter options for the following information:

  • Providers - are organizations that serve multiple client organizations.

  • Organizations - are organizational entities, typically a client or a provider entity. They can also be sub-entities within an organization such as a division.

  • Building Groups - are groups of buildings within an organization. They can represent any grouping, such as regional or geographic grouping, or building classifications.

  • Building Classes - are high level classifications of buildings, such as healthcare.

  • Building Types - are more detailed classifications of buildings, such as medical office buildings.

  • Buildings - are the specific buildings within an organization’s portfolio.

  1. To apply a filter, simply select the dropdown:

  2. Now you can select any one of the fields in the dropdown, in this example we select “Buildings”:

  3. Now we select “Boston” and hit “Okay”:

  4. You will now see:

  5. If you would like to add more filters, simply follow the steps you just took, otherwise click “Okay”

  6. Now you will see that the “Save” Icon is highlighted blue as well as the “Apply” button. We highly recommend you save your filters for a later date, but if you don not want to, simply click “Apply” and the dashboard will update with the new changes. You will see a “Global Filters Saved Successfully message if you chose to save and now both the “Save” and “Apply” button will no longer be highlighted.

Page Filtering

Page filtering which applies solely to the page you are on and is broken into groups with the following filters:

  • “Equipment” Page Filter

    • Equipment Classes - filters to broad categories of equipment such as “Zone” units.

    • Equipment Types - filters to specific categories of equipment such as “VAV” boxes.

    • Equipment - filters to specific equipment such as VAV #1.

  • “Diagnostics” Page Filter

    • Analyses - filters to a Clockworks Analytic such as “AHU Coils”

    • Dates - filters the date range over which diagnostics have run, such as the past 30 days.

    • Interval - filters to the time interval over which analytics have been run, such as daily, weekly, or monthly.

    • Priority Range which is broken down into:

      • Energy - filters diagnostic energy priorities on a scale of 1 to 10.

      • Comfort - filters diagnostic comfort priorities on a scale of 1 to 10.

      • Maintenance - filters diagnostic maintenance priorities on a scale of 1 to 10.

    • Avoidable Cost - filters the diagnostic identified avoidable cost by value.

  • “Tasks” Page Filter

    • Date Created - filters to a date range within which tasks were opened.

    • Date Completed - filters to a date range within which tasks were completed

    • Task Status - filters to the status of a task, such as Open, In Process, Completed, or Cancelled.

    • Annual Avoidable Cost - filter to the annualized avoidable cost projected by completing a task.

    • Task Reporter - filters to the users who reported tasks

    • Task Assignee - filters to the users assigned to tasks

  • “Data” Page Filter

    • Date Range - Filters Raw Data by date range via a custom date picker

    • Point Class - Filters Raw Data by Point Class such as “Acceleration, Air Volume, Airspeed, etc.”

    • Point Type - Filters Raw Data by Point Type such as “ACH, BMS Alarm, etc.”

    • Point - Filters Raw Data by Point such as “AHUHeatingEnable (Bldg1_AHU3), ExhaustAirStaticPressure (Bldg1_AHU1), etc.”

    • Data Source - Filters Raw Data by their Data Source such as “B1_Demo_CoGen, Demo_Bldg1_VAV1, etc.”

  • “More” Page Filter

    • Currencies - filters to specific currencies, such as USD.

  1. Similarly to “Global Filtering” above, you take the same steps to add any filter from one of the “Page Filters” groups making sure to select “Okay” in between your selections, “Saving” your filters as suggested above so you don’t lose all your progress, and lastly “Apply” the filters to have the changes take effect in your dashboard.
