Building Scorecard Dashboard

Introduction to Building Scorecard Dashboard

The Building Scorecard Dashboard gives a holistic view of performance across all buildings within an Organization. It aggregates energy performance by total avoidable cost along with maintenance and comfort scores to see the portfolio/building performance. Each of these metrics are trended over time to see how the buildings are currently performing against historic values. Finally, it provides the ability to drilldown into what buildings and systems are effecting these overall scores to move the needle in improving these measures. This dashboard is a helpful way to go from hundreds of pieces of equipment and drill into those that are most significantly affecting the overall portfolio performance metrics.

This first section of the dashboard shows current performance compared to how your Organization was trending over the last 12 months. This section helps you understand if your performance is trending in the right direction.

The Maintenance Score and Comfort Score widgets are the average score over the Diagnostics Interval selected in the Global filter. By default, this is set to the Last 30 Days.

Section 2: Score by Equipment Group

The second section breaks the score into equipment groups so you can focus your attention on which systems are negatively affecting your performance. The four groups are Air Handlers, Cooling System, Heating System, and Zone Equipment (or whichever equipment is integrated). The Diagnostic Avoidable Cost is the total sum of all avoidable costs for equipment in that group over the selected time period. The Maintenance and Comfort Scores are the average scores for all equipment in that group also over the selected time period.

Comfort Priorities are not calculated for Cooling and Heating system equipment so these groups will not show up in the Comfort Score by Group widget.

Section 3: Score by Building

This final section shows the score by building so you can easily see which need the most attention and drill into the equipment most impacting the performance. The buildings are ordered with the worst performers at top and colored according to the severity/score determined by Diagnostic Priorities.

Three important clicks give you more details on what to prioritize:

  1. By clicking on the bar, you can cross filter the entire dashboard to look at the scores, trends, and breakdown by group in the first two sections of the dashboard.

  2. If you right click on the bar, you have the option to drilldown to see the makeup of the building score by equipment class. A second right click will give you the ability to drilldown even further into the score by equipment.

  3. With each right click to drilldown, you can also click the link to go to Diagnostics to read Diagnostics report on each of the issues impacting the score.
